Centralized authority has received a bad reputation – usually for good reason.
And yet, to quote Lawrence Lundy-Bryan, “there is no such thing as decentralized governance.” Without governance, accountability reverts to the “honor among thieves” notion, with no accountability to anyone beyond one’s own small circle.
The Osmio Foundation supports initiatives that encourage the application of participatory duly constituted public authority to help the world’s information infrastructure function effectively, while maintaining anonymity and accountability.
